As one of its primary goals, Hospice of Texas clinical team works to provide comfort and peace through pain control. The pain scale below is an excellent tool for communicating your level of pain, allowing us to pinpoint whether additional interventions could be helpful.
Using the scale below, rate your pain in four ways: pain now, best and worst over the past week, and your average pain level in the past week.
If you evaluate your average pain overall at a level 6 or above, you may be a candidate for more aggressive pain management. If you are experiencing this level of pain and are facing a life-limiting illness, you might be eligible for hospice. See your physician or contact Hospice of Texas for more information.
